Esa noche el afectado regresaba a su hogar en horas de toque de queda, cuando fue conminado a detenerse por tres militares. Eduardo Gaona, que se encontraba cerca de su casa, habr\u00eda decidido apurar el paso, debido a lo cual recibi\u00f3 el impacto de bala que caus\u00f3 su muerte.
